QUOgle

QUOgle is a very small device, that is easy to wear by your child, an elderly or dog. Around the neck, in a purse, on the belt, in the pocket etc. QUOgle also can be invisibly built into your car. Via satellites QUOgle always knows exactly its location. If you want to know where QUOgle is, you only have to call QUOgle. A few seconds later you will receive an SMS-reply, telling you its location, with an accuracy of 5 meters. You then visualize this on a pc-screen, (normal) mobile phone or smartphone, showing a map (2D-streetmap or 3D-map with buildings etc.) and an arrow, indicating exactly the whereabouts of your child, grandad, granny, dog or car. And that... that gives peace of mind!

You can also reverse the operation: first you establish an electronic GEO-fence of the territory, where QUOgle is allowed to move freely. As soons as the wearer crosses the boundaries of this territory, you will receive an alarm-SMS on you cell phone, telling you QUOgle’s location. You now know the wearer is wandering away from home and you can operate accordingly. If necessary, the alarm-SMS can be sent to several people at once. QUOgle works outside and inside: where there is GSM and GPS-reception, QUOgle works! Where the GPS signal is low (in a tunnel below water for instance) QUOgle will let you know its last position, being the entrance of the tunnel.

Good to know

QUOgle communicates only with people who you have authorized to communicate with.

That way it’s impossible for strangers, to retrieve the wearers location.

And: your mobile phone does NOT have to be equipped with GPS-functionality.

What does QUOgle mean?

QUOgle is a combination of the word “QUO” (Latin for where?) and “toggle” (press a button).

QUOgle is pronounced as quòggul, the g’s like the French word “garçon”.

Six functions

You easily instruct QUOgle how te operate, by sending QUOgle an SMS-message, in which you tell QUOgle how to funtion. In total QUOgle has six different functions.

• Search (standard): call QUOgle and it will reply by sending you an SMS, telling you its position.

• GEO-fence: you’ll receive an SMS message, as soon as QUOgle tresspasses its boundaries. The fences are invisible and the area is rectangular. You only have to setup the positions of the lower right angle and upper left angle of the area.

• SOS-button: suppose the wearer of QUOgle has fallen to the ground. All he has to do, is press the SOS-button. Seconds later you (and if necessary several others) will receive an alarm-SMS message: HELP followed by the location. If you want to know more, simply call QUOgle and the build-in microphone lets you hear what is going on.

• Auto-Track: every 30 seconds QUOgle sends its position to you and to whom this may concern. This way you can easily follow a fast moving QUOgle.

• Movement alert: as long as QUOgle remains in its place, nothing happens, but as soon as it moves or is moved, you get an SMS-message.

• Overspeed alert: warns when QUOgle moves too fast. For instance, set up for 50 miles an hour. When it goes faster, you will be notified by SMS.

And: QUOgle communicates only with people who you have authorized to communicate with. That way it’s impossible for strangers, to retrieve the wearers location.

Easy to use

In your QUOgle you insert a SIM-card of a telecom provider of your choice. You can use a prepaid of subscription card. There will be no phone calls, only SMS-communication, so choose one that offers you the best rate for SMS-messaging, for instance 300 messages for less then ten Euros.

Prepare your QUOgle for use in three easy steps:

• Make sure the battery is fully loaded.

• QUOgle has only two buttons: ON/OFF and SOS. Press the ON-button and wait 45 seconds. A green LED will lit up, telling you the GPS-location has been found.

• Now, QUOgle is ready for use: you can call QUOgle, if you want to know where it is. If you want to use QUOgle in one of the other 5 ways, you send QUOgle an SMS-message. For instance send the text “move” if you want QUOgle to fulfill its Movement Alert duties.

QUOgle CAR

QUOgle CAR for the car (boat or other objects) has slightly larger measurements. It runs on the car battery but also has its own battery, in case thieves deactivate the car battery. QUOgle CAR can be invisibly built into the car. The ON/OFF and SOS buttons and the small microphone (for remote monitoring what’s going on) are easily sticked on or under the dashboard. QUOgle CAR can be remotely switched on by sending an SMS message. After that, every 3 minutes you’ll receive the location of the car by SMS.  

Another way to setup QUOgle CAR is the following: you’ll be notified, when QUOgle CAR is over 500 meters away from you house or office. All other functionality of QUOgle CAR is the same as QUOgle’s.
